About Me

I am a board certified general adult psychiatrist. I was born in South Korea and immigrated to the United States at a young age then grew up in California. I received undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins, and received MD degree from The Ohio State College of Medicine. I received excellent psychiatry residency training at University of Connecticut.

I am treating patients 13 years of age or older. I welcome patients of all walks of life and backgrounds.

Additional Information regarding my clinic

  • I am not able to prescribe any controlled substances (Benzodiazepines, ADHD medications etc) if you are seeing me virtually. These medications may be used if deemed necessary for in-person visits.

  • I cannot provide any legal evaluations/letters and/or certifications, which include but are not limited to disability paperwork including state disability, FMLA, workers compensation, emotional support animals, permanent school/work accommodations, etc. 

  • Some conditions require a higher level of care than can be safely treated virtually such as:

    – Active thoughts of self-harm or suicide

    – Active thoughts of harming someone else

    – Eating disorders (anorexia, binging/purging)

    – Alcohol or drug addiction/abuse

    – Any other condition or set of symptoms at any point deemed to be severe enough to need a higher level of care

My Services

Initial visit (45-60 minutes)

This first session is dedicated to a thorough review and assessment of your history and current symptoms. We will go through your complete medical and psychiatric history. Additional information gathered includes family history, psycho-social/developmental history, and substance use history. At the conclusion of the assessment, I will discuss the diagnoses and treatment options consisting of a combination of therapies including psychotherapy, behavioral modification, and medication.

Out of Network Fee — $300

Follow up visits (20-25 minutes)

Follow up visits are are shorter appointments lasting 20-25 minutes. During these appointments the we will discuss interval history and assess your response to medications as well as any potential side effects. Brief supportive therapy is included in this type of visit. We will discuss any applicable behavioral modifications.

Out of Network Fee — $200

Free initial phone consultation

Before the initial visit, 10-15 minute phone introduction are made to assess if you are a good fit for my practice and if I am the right psychiatrist for you. I would also be happy to answer any questions regarding the practice you may have.
